Junior center Stefanie Dolson, who is not shy when it comes to having a little fun, was talking about her remarkable transformation in the bowels of Reed Arena following Sunday’s win at then-No. 16 Texas A&M. She has lost 12 points through a revamped diet and exercise. In particular, she took part in the grueling INSANITY workout last summer.

When Dolson was asked if she was still doing INSANITY, she glanced over to her right where Auriemma was standing and replied … “This is insanity enough.’’

Love Stef's sense of humor. She gives as good as she gets. I think that always helps Geno enjoy the season when there is someone who can match his banter...or at least make an attempt to keep up.

Geno last year said something to the effect that if he had players like her consistently, he'd coach for another 20 years. I agree that part of it is the attitude she brings, both in terms of effort and a brand of humor that complements his own.

At the end of the 2011 season, he said that he wouldn't recruit a sourpuss. He likes happy kids. He also obviously has a sense of humor. But he noted last year, in response to Kaleena's actions, that there was room for only one smartass--and that was him.
