For years Geno has stated that he doesn't like to coach against his close friends unless he has to do it. He has to play Villanova so he does it. He doesn't schedule Ohio State, for example. It could be a simple as Muffet is a good friend and so since I don't have to play her in the future, I'm not going to play her.
