“We understand how talented UConn is,’’ Bruno said. “And I just said this to the players a second ago, we are a much better basketball team than we played in Storrs in Captain Nemo weekend when most people wouldn’t have shown up. And we had to get there, and all that stuff that we did to get there. I’m glad we did it. We did the right thing. We put our kids on the floor. And that’s not the reason we got waxed by 47. We got waxed by 47 because UConn’s very talented players kicked our butt. That’s why we lost. I just think we’re better than the way we played in Storrs on that Feb. 10 day."
