Bad habit from last year's team.

Players catching the ball and first move is to put it on floor.

Kills ball movement t and gives defense time to recover.

Last night players were decisive with the ball when they caught it.

Tonight? Two dribbles in to middle of the zone, kickout and repeat.

I saw several catch and shoot situations passed up because the players just didn’t pull the trigger and were thinking too much. It’s a work in progress.

Bad habits when they get nervous or pressured. Jalen needs to be Kemba or Bazz like and be the release valve to get the ball to calm them down or get a bucket

Saw way way way too much one on 3 tonight. Frustration against a very good Iowa defense but they need to be better. Didn’t help that when they got open looks outside they missed almost all of them.

I didn’t see every minute of the game as I was watching on my phone at the UCONN hockey game. (Another ref hatchet job, btw). But fwhat concerns me is that I saw flashbacks to the dark days where, if Jalen or CV didn’t shoot on a couple consecutive trips, they would “get theirs” the next time they would touch the ball. No passes, double covered or off balance, usually early in the clock, some times never even reaching the rim.
