The Yard lost an OG on April 1 and cancer took her away.

Back in 1998 when I walked through a side gate here at the Boneyard, there was a much smaller crowd and just two or three women. susieq and Pat were regulars here and offered much humor and shared excitement for the Huskies. She attended various social events and was a beautiful soul. I can still see her name in the chat room. I think she chose purple.

I felt the Yarders from back in the day would like to know that we lost a good'n. A really good'n.

Rest in Peace, Pat.

I don’t want to like the post as obviously there is nothing to like but i remember her from the early days. I found this place in 2000 and yes her, susieq, and the cuse fan were among the few women. All were valuable contributors to what makes this place great today.
Joyce was the fan from the Cuse Board. Back then, there was one board and there were threads on both the men and women's team on the same board. Soon, there were two boards and HuskyNan was here to monitor the WB.

Sad to hear that. I remember Pat, SusyQ (Susieq sp?...can't remember how she spelled it) and Joyce. I think I met all three at some in person BY event(s).

Very sad news.

That’s very sad news. Pat was a great, knowledgable fan and fun to be around when we had Boneyard gatherings. Those events were always better with her and SuzyQ in attendance. She was part of my foursome at one of the Boneyard Classics and we had a blast. I’m sure she’ll be keeping an eye on the Huskies from above.

Thanks for the heads up Dove.

Really a genuinely great person and a true OG yarder. Very sad news. New folks don’t understand the true friendships and brotherhood that existed here back in those days and she was a big contributor to that.

I wish there was a way for all of us to say goodbye or acknowledge someone's passing. Disappearing without notice after 25 years in a relationship sucks.

I consider you all family who will not know when I'm gone and vice versa. You Yarders are a part of my life even if I don't know your names/faces or anything about you.

This place is something special, and it's not because of all the Championships, it's because of fanatics and fans like Pat, who helped build our program to become Blue Blood. This journey makes us kin.

I felt a post was needed, Craig.

Sad news.. but, in actuality, from a Biblical/Spiritual point of view, it's good news. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Well done, thy good and faithful servant, Pat... She ran her race. That Dash between her start and end dates touched lives in a positive way.

Have a heavenly rest Dear Pat. Amen! (All Glory belongs to God)

Very sad news. She was clearly a well liked member of the extended Husky family. May she rest in peace.

Sad news. Such a sweet person. I remember meeting her at a BY Fenway road trip probably 2000 or 2001??. Along with Suzyq.
They looked after us drunk guys in the right field stands and at Jillian’s after. i have a group pic from Jillians sonewhere on my laptop at home. Gotta find it.

I recall our BY football tailgate in Storrs in 2001. It was right after 9/11. The big UConn talk was whether hot shot recruit Rashad Anderson's parents would still want him coming up here for school. Pat was really interested in the recruiting scene before you had a gazillion "experts" online.

Later we would meet up at McKinnon’s downtown before UConn/Cuse games along with our resident Cuse fan Joyce. Good memories.

RIP Pat.

RIP Pat... new here but always acknowledging the loss of someone special.

This was taken in 2000 at Jillian's in Boston. Pat is in beige sitting at the table.

In a quarter century of Boneyarding, I've only met a handful of posters

I'm pretty sure it was Pat who offered 2 tickets to the 2000 BET Finals in a random post on the Board, and it was as easy as replying, "I'd love to go" or some such. It didn't seem real.

I convinced my girlfriend to travel with me from Long Island, and we showed up at a bar on 32nd St, where some other long timers directed me to Pat, who made the happy hand-off, and quite graciously sized up that I was with someone who wasn't all too interested in being in a bar. The easy exit was the second most memorable thing of the night.

Most memorable? I was very excited as we walked up the steps to the arena and the pep band was playing. My gf then said, "Hey, I'm from Queens. I'm gonna root for St. John's," like that was an option. What the actual ?

This was the "last time SJU won the Big East championship" that was being talked about 3 weeks ago during the BET. Yuck (and sorry).

And yes, @Dove , it was at La Boca where I met you and @August_West was playing live, and you thought @8893 might have been in the crowd, but never saw him.

Who else? Pizza with @Huskybass at my Milford storage space while I was moving to Kentucky 16 months ago, and @huskyhaven, somehow connected by mutual friends in Westport once.

But Pat started it. RIP.

Nice. SuzyQ and Pat at the table and immediately behind If I remember correctly (L to R ) AlexD , Swami , Aussie Cuz (cousin of Justin Brown), cwh, Nuzzi, and then I’m drawing a blank on the next threes yarders handles unfortunately. Too much time has passed.
