Requiem for the Big East minus UConn

There isn't going to be any UConn in this film on Sunday. From what I've read it will be about the 80's G-Town, Cuse rivalry. Which is complete BS because the Big East was strongest in the 90's and 00's....but of course, Syracuse is the NEW Duke ever since their ACC move......ESPN must make it all about them. They figure Thompson Jr. would be a good antagonist for the film. UConn may get a mention about a few of the 90's squads but I don't think it's gonna mention anything close to recent. Gonna piss me off.

http://variety.com/2014/tv/reviews/tv-review-requiem-for-the-big-east-summer-dreams-1201128865/ The Big East "home to such eventual powers as Georgetown, Syracuse and Villanova." I could have sworn UConn was in the Big East, it all must have been a dream.

Villanova, a power? They sure did have a nice run in 1985 and Kerry Kittles was on a couple good teams, but a power? Nope.

I'm not surprised the doc will focus on the 80s. That's when the Big Easy vaulted into the spotlight. And 1987 was obviously a big moment for the conference. Plus all the short shorts etc.

Villanova being a power is like saying Nate Miles is an exceptional human.
