You can bet on it"people never change only the situations do"

I hope the ACC is happy with their future partner who will accept anyone into school to help them win.

Yup, it's clear as day that the ACC couldn't care less about academic standards when they invited UL. The conference is probably sick of being flicked off like a mosquito by every other conference, including the old Big East, come BCS bowl time so they reckoned UL could help that. Only problem is UL will likely be on some sort of probation by the time they are a full member! Yikes, what a horrendous move.

I'm glad we didn' decide to hold our noses and take this guy. At least Louisville is making a splash in the coaches poll rankings. Maybe this news helped! Let's see if they can live up to it on the field.

Man, I'l tell ya, you guys do NOT pay attention. Fr. Leahy said that BC's move to the ACC was "primarily driven by academics". You either don't listen or don't believe him. Later he also stated the pigs and GDF would fly out of his a**......

Hopefully this will help give us an opportunity to knock off an undefeated top 5 (ranked) team at the Rent on national TV.

BTW Louisville's schedule is very weak this year. The game at the Rent and their game at Cincy represent their two most difficult games.

Teddy Bridgewater's introduction to the 2013 UCONN defense, is most definitely something I'm looking forward to, and I hope is just as memorable, if not more, than his last dance with the 2012 defense.

There's nothing for a defense to enjoy more, quite like destroying a good QB, and Bridgewater is a good QB.

As for Dyer, well, we'll see if he's still on the roster by then.

Louisville are always finding ways to get better. Whether people like it our not Michael Dyer is a star player who made poor decisions in his career. Forget about the gun charges as his gun was legal to carry (registered). All we can pin him for is failing his drug tests. However, Let's not forget, McCombs failed a few drug test himself, in addition to that he whooped his girls a*s last season and he's still here. I believe Dyer is going to be a star player for Louisville, I won't be surprised if they go undefeated this year and make the AAC look like Div. 2. football.

Guns and drugs. I just wouldn't go there. But, I can see why an academically focused institution in an academically focused conference would be comfortable with that decision.

I know things change season to season, but wowee, you must have missed the UCONN @ Louisville game last fall to go and write something like that. Never mind the off field issues.

His legal gun was used by his friends and fellow drug users to commit armed robbery. They are all in prison. You are known by the company you keep, UL has a core values sign in its locker room reminding players not to carry guns and assault people. We'll see how long this chucklehead lasts after making it through the academic rigors of Arkansas Baptist Bible College and HVAC Repair.

Louisville barely pretends to be an academic institution any longer. Say what you want, but it got them a seat.

No, I watched that game. I understand a wins a win, but we barely left with a win. That defense we had is not the same we have this year just so you know. You must have forgotten that Louisville won the Big East last year, spanked Florida in the BCS bowl game and added a few star transfers, such as WR Robert Clark (Florida), WR Matt Milton (Tennessee), TE Gerald Christian (Florida) and Zeke Pike (Auburn) to the team who were all top players coming out of high school. That list just included Dyer who broke the Auburn record for most rushing yards by a freshman held by Bo Jackson, might I add it was done in the SEC. Dyer also received MVP honers in 2011. All I'm saying is that Louisville has been very aggressive this off season to get better. Mind you Louisville was already loaded with young talent.

Strong has taken in wayward lads before. All Conference cb Adrian Bushell - troubled Florida transfer - graduated last December and has work underway on his MA. Strong is hands-on with players and UofL has the highest team GPA in the conference after suffering real idiocy under Kragthorpe. Rebuilding is still in the air at Louisville and Strong is an impressive, uncompromising individual. Check out Darius Ashley of you think Strong will allow serial screw-ups by players.

Louisville was already loaded at RB, for the record. Dom Brown who gained 5.3 a rush against you in 2011 sat out last year and is fully recovered. Senorise Perry is back and healthy. Dyer is most definitely cool to have. He came here because of Strong, for the record.
