Wilson gets an incomplete Imo and the blunder of the game was his attempted put back dunk and getting stuffed by the rim....granted I can only wish I could jump high enough to come close to getting stuffed by the rim but still...

I don't understand how Williams seems to jump so high in some of these videos and with a running start, but then has a standing vertical that is half as high

Different types of jumping. Probably partly technique, partly genetic. He's also not warmed up in games at all--he sat for 30 minutes without moving.

Vital should be at least an 8. More steals than turnovers, 3 assists, 5 rebounds. 50% from 3 on 8 attempts, 60% from 2. Tied for the lead in team points.
You make a solid argument, but he was a little too absent for us offensively in the 2nd half. I will add we are loving his lack of "circus-like decisions" these past 2 games (only two today).

I think this was Polleys best game so far. He may not have scored double digits, but the ways he scored were impressive. Some smooth looking drives to the rim and a strong finish drawing the foul.

Confidence grows each game, so we should more and more slashing from him. Score should be at least a 7.0 for his performance.

I would give Gilbert an A- for his control of the team and overall play and he would get the game ball.

I was disappointed in Adams defense as I thought he gave little effort most of the night. He would be a D for lack of defense even though his offense was good.

This remains not an actual report card. Basketball contests are not called matches.

Thought Polley played a solid, measured game. Didn't hit double digits, but very few mistakes. Almost upper-classmanlike. Gilbert of course was great, but he drove me crazy with a few of those one handed shovel passes. Led to at least a few turnovers or caused the shooter to lose their opportunity.

Vital was unconscious in the first half.

Though I think they only have a few more games this season, but SNY needs a better color guy than Tim Welch. It seemed like every time he mentioned that Vital is not a good three point shooter, he buried it. As the half went on, Welch basically fell back on the fact that Vital's feet were set and he was open. Thanks, Buddy.

My guess is that Welch was referring to Vital's streakiness from last year, when rare was the 3 point attempt by anyone wide open AND with set feet. News to Tim, apparently, is that UConn has a new coach, with an offensive philosophy emphasizing good shot selection (I.e. Open and feet set).

Polley had 1 rebound in 28 minutes. He has 20 rebounds in 188 minutes this season. Needs to start grabbing rebounds.

How did CV only score 2 points in the second half? I wasn’t able to watch most of the game but I saw he scored 17 in the first

he simply missed his 3s in the 2nd half. It's to be noted, he only took 3 of them and none of them were forced. All were open with his feet set. He made up for it in different ways (3 steals in the 2nd half along with a slew of rebounds and a couple of assists). The ball was going in the net for the huskies, and he didn't seem concerned about "getting his", i.e not forcing shots/drives. These last 2 games CV has been fantastic. Fantastic.

This is getting pretty meta guys.
