It's that net snap. That's the sound of victory.
I told my friends after the game that a whole new generation of UConn fans was born that day!I just watched it with new eyes. UConn is already a dynasty but think about what the Laettner shot did for Duke? This is the fuel that all the younger generations of UConn fans, plus backyard ballers in Indiana, plus fairweather UConn fans, plus march madness only college ballers, needed to maintain our status as bball Capital.
I just went on ESPN.com to check something and the video of Mullins's shot played. It automatically played, I didn't click on it. The guy in the office next to me, a Syracuse fan (ugh), heard it and comes over and says, "Are you watching that again?" LolShould be closer to 11 million after i get done today.....

As well as a sharp increase in the number of Braylons born in CT.And now nine months from that day. Not everybody burns a couch to celebrate.
The whole auditory experience is amazing. You hear the crowd noise building as UConn pressures and then gets the steal, then everything goes nearly silent when the shot goes up, the net snap, a then pandemonium. The sound of the net snapping is pure perfection!
I know this was posted somewhere already but HCJC is truly one of us

I noticed that too the first few times I watched the video Sunday night. The whole auditory experience is amazing. You hear the crowd noise building as UConn pressures and then gets the steal, then everything goes nearly silent when the shot goes up, the net snap, a then pandemonium.
That’s why I like the still photo of the fans and all the varying facial and full body reactions as well. The whole auditory experience is amazing. You hear the crowd noise building as UConn pressures and then gets the steal, then everything goes nearly silent when the shot goes up, the net snap, a then pandemonium.
Karaban’s pass to Mullins was absolutely perfect. It’s like a masterpiece painting. Every time I see something new.And the speed! Mullins grabs the ball with 4.8 seconds immediately sees Karaban and passes, Karaban catches and passes back to Mullins and Mullins shoots with 2.0 seconds. Some people criticize Evans for not getting up to block the shot but Mullins shoots lightning fast and I think Evans expected him to take a dribble.
