Replay the last few second

I'm mostly curious on how many views this is gonna get over the next few days.

It's already up to 10 million views. Epic.

I just watched it with new eyes. UConn is already a dynasty but think about what the Laettner shot did for Duke? This is the fuel that all the younger generations of UConn fans, plus backyard ballers in Indiana, plus fairweather UConn fans, plus march madness only college ballers, needed to maintain our status as bball Capital.

I told my friends after the game that a whole new generation of UConn fans was born that day!

Not sure if we can ever eclipse a Duke type school in national following but maybe we can close the gap some? They have 1.7mil following on instagram and we only have 200k. That’s bonkers. And for reference our women’s basketball is the most on that side with 600k.

This is the third day in a row now where I’ve been watching so many highlights and reels on my phone. Just soaking it all in. I guess maybe tomorrow (or Friday) I’ll have to turn the page and get ready for this weekend. Still can’t believe it. Monday was not a productive day at work. I’ve been texting so many people on my phone and getting texts/clips it feels like I’m braelin Mullins. lol. It’s been Great too cuz I’ve been communicating with old friends I haven’t talked to in a while about that crazy shot. U know what they say- sports brings people together. Heading to my parents now before wifey and kids get home to watch the second half again. lol.

I've seen that one so many times and it doesn't get old. I have moved on to the various watch party reactions out there. So fun.

When I saw the game Sunday, there wasn't any sound as we were at a bar. I was able to catch the replay of the entire game Monday night and gor the most part I enjoyed the announcing, but there were a few instances when even Raf sounded like he was part of a Duke infomercial.

The crisp, clear swoosh when the ball hit the bottom of the net was Grammy award worthy.

The whole auditory experience is amazing. You hear the crowd noise building as UConn pressures and then gets the steal, then everything goes nearly silent when the shot goes up, the net snap, a then pandemonium.
I noticed that too the first few times I watched the video Sunday night.

The entire arena, both Duke and UConn fans, went silent holding their breath while the shot was in the air. Then the sound of the net snapping and sonic pandemonium!

That’s why I like the still photo of the fans and all the varying facial and full body reactions as well.

Some are shocked, bracing themselves, ready to explode, holding their buddy’s arm, etc

I’ve watched it 500 times so far. It still doesn’t seem real. Everything had to be perfect and then Mullins had to make the shot. So many factors worked out perfectly and then the ball doesn’t even hit the rim. It’s amazing.

And the speed! Mullins grabs the ball with 4.8 seconds immediately sees Karaban and passes, Karaban catches and passes back to Mullins and Mullins shoots with 2.0 seconds. Some people criticize Evans for not getting up to block the shot but Mullins shoots lightning fast and I think Evans expected him to take a dribble.

What do we even call this thing? It’s more than a shot - it’s a sequence. Is it “the play” - “the sequence” “ “the blitz” - what properly encapsulates it?

Karaban’s pass to Mullins was absolutely perfect. It’s like a masterpiece painting. Every time I see something new.
