Anne Meyers alert. I'm pretty sure of it. Plus the play by play guy that will do both men and women, I forget who it is.

1. Being from Queens is a good thing, not something to use as an excuse.

I was being sarcastic. I love Queens. She has a bit of New Yooorker accent, but again, she has improved a lot in her short career. She is student of the game and studies very hard, just like she played. She wasn't the most talented player coming in Stanford and had some 'challenges" with Tara, but she worked her butt off and earned Tara's trust to run the offense. Plus, she earned best defensive player in the conference her Sr. year.

Shoot me now. I found it. Lisa Leslie, Okay. Ann Meyers? Yuck! CAROLYN PECK? Well, I could tell you what I think about that but I think I will go off on some unrelated tangent about what happens when you leave a frosted cake out in the humidity and the frosting gets all dripity and poolates around the bottom of the cake making it impossible to eat. What's that? Dripity and poolates aren't words? And you wanted to know what I think of Carolyn Peck's announcing? WHAT ANNOUNCING? 'nuf said.

End of 3rd quarter, USA 72-48. A Brazil player just hit a 3-pointer from about a mile away - they didn't say who it was.

Yep. Angel sighting at 1:20 of the 3rd. Very late.

She nearly gets a steal or two, but her player drives by her.

she is playing hard but a little ragged - again I bring up Mama Taj as a model of efficiency that more post players should seek to emulate within their own particular envelope of athleticism

I think part of it is just adrenalin.
