Thanks, I actually read the entire story word for word. I do remember watching the 98 draft and John Thompson was analyzing the draft at the time on TNT and had mentioned that he had really wished this kid went to college, and he expressed himself at the time with dissapointment and sadness in his voice as if he had known what was to come. Hope he can turn around his life, forget his NBA career its just a sad story.

You know what I get from that story? A bunch of kids that ended up at UCLA, Duke and elsewhere got thousands of dollars and cars, like old Impalas, etc., from a guy funneling money through a rich donor, and when that guy pled guilty to the whole thing, and the NCAA had a PROVEN transcript of violations, they did absolutely NOTHING to those schools. Nothing.

I'm not sure how or why these violations are any different than those that happened at UMass, UConn, USC, Memphis, Ohio State, etc.
