Challenges ahead:

Texas @ Tx AM, Sunday
St Johns @ Auburn, Saturday & UConn @ St Johns, Jan 4
Northwestern @ Mich St, Dec 28
Oregon St @ Tenn, Dec 28

Akron @ Yng St, Dec 29

Georgia

Kentucky @ So Car, Jan 8

I think Princeton could run the table through the regular season.

How far can Oregon State go?

Either Texas or TAMU loses this weekend.

Lehigh will drop soon.

I predict there will be none by the end of the NCAA Tourney. :)
Agree. First thing I thought after the Stanford game was, well, no undefeated teams this season.

Down to 11, as Arizona St def Lehigh 81-61 yesterday
Will be 10 after Tex-Tx AM game.

Youngstown St down 18 to Pitt.

Down to 9

Texas, St Johns, Northwestern, Oregon St
Princeton, Akron
Miss St, Georgia, So Car

The only reason Miss State & Georgia are undefeated is because of their weak OOC Schedule. Georgia's SOS is 269 and Miss State is 273.

They won't remain undefeated once Conf Play starts. Will they even make the tourney?

Georgia beat top 20 Michigan St, and has wins over decent Ga Tech and Ohio St.
Miss St has beaten ranked W Virginia.

St Johns lost at home to Indiana St in 2OT

Arizona St in the killer role -- about to beat an undefeated team for the 2nd straight night. They lead NW by 13 with 4 to go.

Seton Hall, that took down Georgia today, is 12-1, with a 2-point loss at WVU the only stain on its record. Likely competitor to SJU and possibly DePaul for the BE.

Correction: Texas plays #6 Baylor. :)

USC plays:

Jan. 2nd: 8-3 Auburn
Jan. 4th: @ 6-5 LSU
Jan. 8th: @ 11-4 Alabama

Then:

Jan. 11th: 11-2 Kentucky

These are all current records, and do not factor in possible wins or losses in games these teams may yet play prior to playing USC. Auburn has no real wins of distinction. They did lose by 7 to St. John's in Carnesecca Arena. St. John's would lose their 1st game of the season the next day.

LSU has had some unexpected struggles thus far this season, falling to 2-4 at one point. They have since rebounded a bit, winning 4 of their last 5 games.

Alabama has had a fairly easy non-conf. slate but cannot be reprimanded much for it as they are trying to rise up from 3 consecutive losing seasons. They have however some wins of note against Kansas, Georgetown (damn you, Natalie Butler!! :D), and Temple, and with their marquee win thus far being against then-12th-ranked Nebraska. They lost 3 of their 4 losses by 16 combined points.

:)

I don't know how Alabama beat Nebraska - they lost to Duke by 50 - at home.

Indiana St may be a team to watch as a giant killing sleeper!?! Before U of Indiana lost at home to RU Sunday they were 10-1....the sole loss? Indiana St.

Update: The Princeton Tigers are now 14-0. They defeated Hartford in the Bronx, NY this weekend(?).

Forgot about the game when I decided not to attend ( I should've took a train and subway to see them).

They're a very fundamentally solid team. They get turnovers because the guards do a lot of gambling on offense. I think there's a strong possibility that they'll go through the regular season with an unblemished record.

I don't expect Miss. State to go much longer. I expect SC to lose to us, but how far will they go in the conference? Can Texas make it through the regular season? I won't be surprised to see Princeton make it, and I think the Ivies still don't have a post-season conference tourney.

You can watch the Princeton games on thier webpage (I think) at least that's what it looked like it says. I haven't tried it yet but will the next game.
