Well, it's getting close to the wrapup. The Big ten is already in its conference bubble and the ACC is starting into its. Other than UConn's two games against SCar and Tennessee in late January/ early February, the Important Inter-conference games will be wrapped up by New Years. Does conference performance matter? I think it does because considerations of conference strength will affect SOS for the selection committee later on.

The NET Conference Rankings at this point are:
  • Conference NET
  • 1. SEC
  • 2. Big 12
  • 3. Pac-12
  • 4. ACC
  • 5. Big Ten
  • 6. American Athletic
  • 7. Big East
  • 8. West Coast
  • 9. Atlantic 10
  • 10. Missouri Valley

So what's left? Stanford with two games on the road at Tennessee tomorrow and at SCar on Tuesday. Very important to the PAC which has not fared as well as predicted in the pre-season.

So, here are some :

Saturday:
Oregon v K-State
Stanford @ Tenn

Sunday
Baylor at Michigan
UConn at Louisville
Arizona vs Texas

Monday :
USF v WVU

Tuesday:
USF v. Ole Miss
Stanford at SCar

* Please add others I have missed (or point out mistakes I have made). I will edit.

Here are a bunch of notable Big Ten games:
12/18 Iowa vs UCF
12/19 Nebraska vs Drake
12/19 Michigan vs Baylor (Hall of Fame Showcase)
12/19 Ohio State @ UCLA
12/20 Michigan State vs FGCU (West Palm Beach Invitational)
12/21 Iowa vs IUPUI
12/21 Michigan State vs West Virginia (West Palm Beach Invitational)
12/21 Northwestern vs Oregon

For the Pac-12, I'd put these forward:

12/18: Washington State v. BYU
12/18: Oregon v. Kansas State (can Ayoka Lee lead the Wildcats to greatness?)
12/19: Texas v. Arizona
12/18: Tennessee v. Stanford
12/19: UCLA v. Ohio State
12/19: Northern Iowa v. Oregon State
12/21: Stanford v. South Carolina
12/21: Utah v. Oklahoma
12/21: Oregon v. Northwestern

Fingers crossed this game will happen.

UCLA's women's team cancelled their game last night. They've acknowledged the cancellation was due to COVID issues on their end, but didn't say anything about their team being affected. I know the men's program had to cancel their game in Vegas and aren't rescheduling.

When Oregon gets their 3 starters back, the PAC-12 will be better represented. UO will see tremendous benefit remainder of the season (barring further injury) from the development of their bench through this preseason.
