I am excited about Eric. Just would like to see more rebounds and move up his foul shooting %. But, I think we have the beginnings of a good back up center this season and a starter next season. That was the role on the team I was most concerned about - so while others lower their preseason rankings I am increasing mine.

As long as he is functional, just his ability to come in and give teams a different look is going to be big. Freshman year Clingan was a lot closer to Sanogo and the adjusting back and forth between first and second team drove teams nuts.

His results will likely be up and down, but the ability to disrupt the flow of the other team will be important all on its own.

There are benefits to having your whole team in place on campus for summer one and two. But, the coaches getting this much in-person viewing of two incoming freshmen is pretty great, too. So many texts and notes and unobtrusive feedback.

Don't forget the positive effects of having two of your guys showing out on a world stage can have on your brand. (OMG, shoot me now)

Turns 18 in December
This may not be accurate but I remember reading he had recently turned 18 when he committed

Reibe had nice game in a win over Canada. 20 & 7 with a few assists

They were talking about Dash Daniels (titles are merely a suggestion).

Know I'm slow with this one but sort of crazy they're both left handed. With them and Solo is this the largest % of southpaws in the same UConn squad?

Though I guess there's always the chance that Furphy shoots with his right in the US, sort of a " the toilet water goes backwards down under" in reverse sort of thing.
