It’s like the NBA draft, they buy on potential. You think wives only buy clothes to wear them? Wow, young husbands have so much to learn.

100%, I think we go with experience and koroma did put up sweet numbers against a really good team last year named UCONN.i thought Koroma's athletic defense and experience last yr playing the 5man in a 5 out offense lets him slide right into the Samson rotation spot if Reibe isnt ready defensively. I cant see Danny being ok having to use both centers in drop, so Koroma has a chance I think
Yeah the way he keeps his dribble in the paint to see what the defense gives him. Danny probably loves that. That first shot was Cam Spenceresque the way he kept the defender on his hip and behind him.
Geez. More fluid than Cam??? Why stop there? I hear he is seven feet tall! …. Kills men by the hundreds. And if he were at UConn, he'd consume the Big East with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse.I'm gonna say it, Furphy reminds me of a slightly more fluid Cam Spencer. Finds space in the defense, sees it, even waits for it to open, and gets a variety of shots off depending on the D.
This might create PTSD for many of us, but I see a bit of both Tyler Kolek and Colin Gillespie in Furphy...Cam + Ingles
Or Cam + Desmond Bane
Or Cam + Ben Simmons
Or just Michael Jordan + Larry Bird
I only watched about a quarter of the game, going through fast forwarding, but I saw Furphy physically guarding Dyspantsoff and forcing him to throw up a poor shot. Maybe he's going to be the Big East Rookie of the Year and lead us to the promised land once again!Announcers say he is 6'4 which in my mind takes him out of being a bonafide 3 and turns a lineup with him at the 3 to a 3 guard set. I did like the physicality he showed boxing out a much bigger player in the post. An away from the ball play.
You are both correct. He made nice running floaters in the third with BOTH hands. Are you sure? I looked several times it looks all right to me. Do we have a tie-breaker out there?
He's destined to be a devilish player for us.The wing is crowded and we knew that. But honestly everyone on campus not named Solo should be running to Werth right now because someone's not going to be happy when the kid from Tasmania starts cooking.
He's the leading scorer at halftime vs Team USA shooting 67% from the field and 50% from 3. Absolutely wild.

Again, we need a 3rd center, even if Reibe is ready.I gotta wonder what our plan is at the 5 right now as a backup. Reibe COULD be ready but I see no guarantee without a serious summer and fall for him in the gym. Koroma?
Didn’t we pick up a skinny PF/C in the portal?Again, we need a 3rd center, even if Reibe is ready.
Yes, Dwayne KoromaDidn’t we pick up a skinny PF/C in the portal?
Looks like I entered with a fully redundant comment lol great minds. That first shot was Cam Spenceresque the way he kept the defender on his hip and behind him.
Not even funny man, just stupid.Geez. More fluid than Cam??? Why stop there? I hear he is seven feet tall! …. Kills men by the hundreds. And if he were at UConn, he'd consume the Big East with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse.
Many like predicting playing time, who sees the floor and who will sit. Hurley and his staff will figure it out.I've been saying he was my fave incoming recruit (even over Mullins) for quite awhile now on the board, since the original Furphy post. Not all of us had him destined for pine time.
He does shoot lefty and he did have a floater that was lefty but he did also have a right handed floater too.Are you sure? I looked several times it looks all right to me. Do we have a tie-breaker out there?
Wait, he’s Austrian??Put another ship on the barbie
