Anthony Weiner remained optimistic to the end that he'd be the next mayor of NYC! At least that's what he kept saying to the media. I was all for him: what a media circus that would have been. But hey, you can be optimistic if you want!
Being optimistic doesn't preclude being realistic. It is just a state of being as opposed to how I'm judging things. Some things turn around in spite of the past. Caron Butler is an example. Weiner hasn't changed so far and may never change. Same with PP and GDL. I'm just not going to jump off the ledge. What happens if I'm wrong about the game? Nothing. I'll feel tty if UConn loses badly whether I go into the game optimistic or pessimistic. Why do I want to frame my hours before the event with dread? I'm not facing a firing squad.

1 - Nobody on this board was attacked by my above post. Are you sure that you aren't tying to play martyr?
2 - Good for you that two weeks seems a long time ago to you. To me it is still far too recent.
3 - Why am I not allowed to analyze things? If the program were more successful could I then analyze what is being posted?
4 - Yes, if we win today it really is a new season. I do hope that we win tonight, next week and beyond but optimism should be a bit more cautious and guarded when all things are considered.

I hope we win tonight to dude...

Let's go Huskies!!!!!
Blue-Out Tonight!!!!

I'd love for Uconn to win tonight.
Maybe with a little positivity, it might happen.
Let's all join hands and chant. Our positive energies will infuse and invigorate the team with the spirit of Ramses the Great and we will conquer the infidels!
