I'm taking a lot of time off from work at the end of the year and decided to pony up the cash and buy RDR2 to fill the time. I'm only 5-6 hours in, but this is the most cinematic game I've ever played. I feel like I'm watching a movie just as much as playing a character. 9.5/10 so far. Only complaint is the typical sloppy controls from rockstar

I almost want to go buy a PS4 just for this game.

More cinematic than Metal Gear?

I haven't played a metal gear game since PS2 but compared to those I'd say yes. The game is beautiful which helps, and the world and NPCs are very lively.

The ones since PS2 got even more. But in general I am weary of these open sandbox games.

.-.
I wish I had more to say other than I really want to play this game too. It looks amazing and nearly every gaming publication will probably name it their game of the year or at least close to it.

My son loves it - usually he gets a new game and "finishes" it within a couple of days - he said the depth of this game is one of the best he has ever played.

I'm only 14% in and love it. My kids mostly play PS4 but went for it for this game and so glad I did. It will make the next week a lot of fun.

I'm right around where you are and I still can't get over how good it is. I still wish cinematic mode would auto-ride all the time though. It's the only thing that bothers me

Bought Red Dead and Battlefield V for X-Mas. Red Dead seems really polished except for whenever Dutch talks. I haven’t even gotten to the train robbery yet. So far we like Battlefield V better because we were blowing stuff up even before the the game was done installing.

Hopefully Red Dead speeds up.
