Always nice to see the University working on waste reduction, sustainability, etc. Not the flashiest research you'll see but this is the type of thing that keeps UConn ranked among the elite public research universities. Half million dollar grant here, quarter million dollar grant there and it all adds up.

Wasn't Uconn named the 'greenest' school in America ~4 or 5 years ago? I vaguely remember something about that while being on campus.
