On MSG Varsity, channel 14 on so ct cablevision, a recruiting documentary following the national gatorade female recruit of 1999 will be shown this evening at 10:30 pm. Geno has a cameo part and Pat Summitt is more prominent in the piece. This highly sought after recruit played momentarily at CTK with Sue Bird. This show gives some valuable insights into the process and the pressures associated with a major college talented recruit from Long Island. Those that follow the recruiting trail will find it interesting and informative. It is done 10 years after the actual recruitment and the girl, Kaz, is there to give her insights looking back at and at the time of the recruitment.

It appears to be "Running Down The Dream" which was actually done about 10 years ago. I've seen it a couple of times, worth seeing if you have not seen it before. But be prepared to see Kaz' family situation basically screw everything up very badly. It's a great example of how badly things can go when a kids father decides he knows more than anyone else about basketball and how his kid can succeed. Actually a very sad story.

Anyone know what Kaz is up to these days?

It's airing at 10:30 pm eastern tonight in NYC.
