Is there any 2013-2014 recruits that we are interested in? Or that are interested in us?

2013 may be done with Samuel and Facey unless we get a lower ranked center. Most of the 2013 guys on the top 100 have committed. 2014 is the bigger year for us since we will lose Napier, Olander, Giffey, Wolfe and probably B0atright.

I would say that we are done this year unless like Phoenixhusky said we get a lower ranked center. In 2014 we could have a good to very good class. We could get Ahmed Hill, Jarred Terrel, Abdul Malik-Abu, Craig Victor, and Shaqquan Aaron. This are all people that we have expressed a good amount of interest in and they like UConn as well. We could also get a few lower ranked players like Goodluck Okonoboh and Malik Price Martin. There is still a very long time to go in the class of 2014's recruits.

Goodluck ship sailed - this past weekend in New Haven he did not even mention us.

We need to catch lightning in a bottle on a big man because recruiting because this is ultimately how we and KO survive.

It's going to come down to Facey signing and Nolan adding some weight. If Wolf can progress a bit more with PT this year and really any improvement from Tyler and it's a pretty solid frontcourt.

Not sure if we need another project big next year. Maybe save it for the following year. KO gets his contract and then we try to load up

We don't need to "save" scholarships anymore really. There are two open spots next year after Facey and Samuel are confirmed, 9 returning players + 2 freshmen = 11 of 13 spots.

The year after (2014 recruits) Olander, Napier, Giffey and Wolf (he never officially redshirted, right?) are all seniors and their scholarships are going to be filled. So their will be 4 spots open for 2014 at a minimum. 5 if UConn only adds one "project" in the 2013 class and 6 if UConn stands pat, 7 if someone like Boatright leaves and UConn stands pat for 2013.

I prefer not to have a 7 man freshman class, because chances are at least one or two of those will be projects anyway.

Dakari Johnson is down to Kentucky, Syracuse, Kansas, Ohio State, Georgetown, and Florida. He just recently cut it to six so I don't think it was him but anything could happen in recruiting.

If schools like Quinnipiac and many others can find these 6'7"-ish power forwards that have some bulk as well as quickness, I would hope that UConn could as well. It would be nice to find a 7 footer who has a big upside, even if a project, but I would also like to see some kids who don't need to gain 40 pounds to be effective against top competition.
