Here is a recruiting article from the Courant this afternoon.

It isn't bad...done mainly off of quotes and info from Cersosimo and P. My only question is this...they want to sign 25 kids...we have 17 verbals with 29 days to go till signing day. Figuring that they don't lose any verbals thet want "6-8 more kids" according to quotes in the article. 6-8 kids..."quality game changing type athletes" as also quoted in the article are gong to be almost impossible to find...which means what..offering a borderline type kid a scholarship. I epuld rather see them sign quality..not quantity! Leave some scholarships on the table...because if they just sign numbers and things go as we all expect...there will be a BUNCH of kids being shown the door by the hc and staff who replaces P and this present group!

In the last two years we have had a number of quality January and February signings. Hemingway, Guttierez, Omaine Stevens, Campenni, Ashiru, Clax, Levy. Each of these guys could be on the field next year.

Hopefully P can bring in 5- 6 more. Doubtful we get to 25.

3-6 I can see quality...anything over that unless they get 3-4 kids to change commitments I just can't see quality. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.

There are always late bloomers who show things as seniors after most schools are filled up, and some good JUCOs who are passed over due to limited eligibility. You can get quality. But you have to be able to recruit them. There have been a lot of commitments to other schools in the last month at positions we're recruiting.
