Recovery timeline(s) for Ayanna and Morgan?

I hope her raw athleticism has not been in anyway reduced via injury. If it hasn't, she may be the best "athlete" on the team. I think of her as a bigger and stronger version of Aubrey Griffin, in terms of physicality and leaping ability.
"A bigger and stronger version of Aubrey Griffin" would be a fantastic piece for next year's team

Different styles of play. When Chen was available, she started. She's the consummate point guard. She's the QB on the court. Heckel is in that mold. It isn't a question of stats, it's a question of managing the team operation.
But don't misunderstand. KK can and will do what Chen and Heckel cannot: she's a game-changer with her instant energy, furious defense, rushes to the basket. And, yes, she has improved greatly in all respects.
Look at it this way: KK is too important to be reduced to running the point. Her assets are unique, and Geno has employed her perfectly.
This is a great summation, and I think it applies to Ayanna too, who I hope will be healthy again and contributing. Ayanna is a very strong rebounder and is a physical defender; and her offense showed some potential. I am very curious to see if she will be a player like Aubrey, who while not a big scorer, was still impactful when she played.

I really, really want to see Yanna play. To me she showed flashes of being a very good defender and rebounder when she just joined the team. Paige and Azzi moved on when they were injured, now Yanna and Caroline could be primed for a great season. Now the rotation system will be really clogged, but like Geno says, perform in practice and you will be rewarded. We are stacked and have 3 teams that can make a statement. In the Olympics, country's have more than one bobsled team, maybe UConn can talk to the NCAA about having two UConn teams in the tournament. LOL

It is pretty important for Morgan that she is ready to go when fall practice starts. She missed a ton of practice during season 1. I think she is talented, but not generational. She needs the reps if she is going to play a pivotal role on this team.
Agree 100%. Yes, very talented, but her last 2 seasons she has had medical problems that kept her from playing full season. She needs training camp, and I hope she is able to perform in preseason, while the big hope is that her surgery has cleared up her problems and she is able to achieve her full potential.

Things will work out. Geno sees them every day. Yes we see 15 good players. Some will accept their roles (if not starting) and some won’t and they will move on. Survival of the fittest. No way all will stay to much talent and have ego’s and desire to play like they should playing at this level. Geno knew right away and Strong was in starting lineup. All will have their chance. Wishing them all the best.
