the AAC received $28,725,102 revenue distribution from the NCAA. AAC had 117 units with each unit =$245,500. Last year the Big East earned $27.4M.
Here is what some of the other conferences received.
Big 12 $20.6M
Big Ten 20.4M
ACC 18.2M
SEC 15.2M
PAC 12 14.5M
Big East ZERO
Note this is the first time a conference other than the BE received $20+M
Note these were units earned from 2008-2013.

For 2014 each unit is worth $250,100. Next year the AAC distribution will be $27,260,900. This is based on
109 units. (drop 2008 19 units, add 11 units from 2014)

I believe UCONN will receive one fifth of this years revenue or $5.745M along with Cincy, SF,Ville, and Rut.
Last year UCONN earned $1.712M
Next year will be very interesting on what the distribution by teams will be. Will it only be UCONN,Cincy and SF?
The ACC distribution for new teams is zero for year 1 and 2, 50% share for year three and 100% share for year 4. I am not sure what was decided when the AAC was form. Since almost all the revenue was earned by the old Big East I would expect UCONN share to be at least $8M if not 9M.

Note UCONN.Cincy and SF will also share the exit fees which is substantial.

Why would Louisville and Rutgers receive anything? The bylaws state that you forfeit all such revenue after the date you announce your departure.

But I've heard repeatedly from a certain poster that we only make $2mil/year, which relegates us to certain doom unless we beg the Big East* for an immediate invite and an extra $3mil/year... So surely none of this can be correct.

The NCAA rules are that all members on April1 will receive a distribution. Ville and Rug. Will receive a full share. Now I expect a large % of it will go to exit fees. What Ville and Rug. Do not share are any exit fees once they stated they were leaving.

NCAA rules? This should go conference by conference in the bylaws.

Those are the bylaws under which Louisville and Rutgers are subject per their written notice given to the BE at the time.

11.02.c clearly states that all assets and revenues are forfeit once notice of withdrawal is given. Earlier, you see similar language when the remaining members vote a member out. The bylaws even say part of the forfeiture of assets in such cases include NCAA tourney revenues.

Go to NCAA.org. Do a search on NCAA basketball revenue distribution. There is a table on what every conference received this year.

Interestingly on ESPN the only reference said the B1G received the largest distribution. No mention of the AAC in their article.

I read that ESPN article. It referenced what the conference will receive in the future from this year's tournament, not what the conference will receive this year from the NCAA. Two different things.

My hope is that UConn never sees a dime from its efforts in this year's tournament.
