[QUOTE="PAHuskeyFan, post: 2044238, member: 7880"] Greetings, I'm a new Boneyard member/poster, but have been following posts all season. One thing that comes to mind when I watch UCONN is a line from the movie "Remember the Titans", Denzel Washington as Coach Boone explaining his veer offense to the former head football coach and now his assistant... "it's like novocaine, give it time and it always works." That's how UCONN plays. In the toughest games they start out with a close back and forth contest (with some notable exceptions), and as the game wears on, they pull away and seal the deal. The SC game was no different. As the 2nd quarter neared it's close the novocaine took over and the lead started to be build. As the 3rd quarter was winding down the lead grew...and of course in the end proved to be too much for SC to recover. Leading up to the game, I read many prognosticators and posters on various sites talk about what it would take for a UCONN loss...and most of them happened, Kia injury, cold shooting from outside, referees, foul trouble... and so on. But, the Novocaine was doing it's job... Gabby, Phessa, Danger, Nat, all stepped up and played great. Contributions from everyone on the court...a great TEAM win, with Gabby as the exclamation mark!
