An excellent article that captures many of the nuances of the disease and the impact of dementia around the patient. In reality all those people closest are, also, among the victims of the illness. It robs people of relationships with people to whom they are very close as slowly that person disappears and often can not remember those who have been closest to them throughout their lives. The pain this causes can't be over exaggerated for many.

Blessings to all of them in this fight and may all help Pat to keep her dignity as long as it is possible.
