I don't know if this has already been posted, but this gives me chills every time I watch it. We are truly more than just a basketball team. We are family.

With Bazz trying his best to hold back tears, the only thing I can imagine that was running through his mind in that clip would be "I can't believe it's over"

It's been said many times, but KO is a player's coach. And watching him in his first two years, it's so easy to see why anyone would want to play for him.

It will be hard for us as fans to see the team take the floor next fall without Shabazz in a UConn uniform. I truly believe that he meant as much to the team/program as any player in program history.

And in KO, we have one of the true high character guys in the sport. We are indeed very fortunate.

To have witnessed what this team has accomplished over the past two years after being thrown every obstacle possible is beyond remarkable. To win 20 games with no-postseason to play for and then follow that up with a 4th title is something even the most loyal uconn fan couldn't imagine. That said, it starts with KO. The man has a vision and a special ability to relay that to his team. I have never seen a group of young men respond in such a powerful way like these kids. They played for each other and together they believed that bond would overcome everything. It did. KO isn't just a coach, he is a leader of men. And boy did he lead. But for the team to come this far, the players had to embrace it. That starts with its best player. By remaining loyal to the program, Shabazz showed the rest of the team that he was "ten toes in". Some guys responded early. It took a bit longer for others. In the end, when it all came together we witnessed what it means to be "great". There is no question in my mind that by the end of March, UConn would have beaten anyone they played. They were that good. Shabazz isn't the most talented player to ever put on a UConn jersey but that doesn't matter. He was the most important. I am not sure which title was our best but that doesn't matter. This was the most important. In two years, this coach and these kids together showed the nation that UConn will remain elite. Not even the most loyal UConn fan was sure of that two years ago. Now we are and that is whats important.

Well said. Shabazz is GOAT of UConn!
