Why is a 16 team league better than 12 or 18? It seems that 18 would make the most sense. Two 9 team leagues for football gives you 8 in conference and 4 OOC. 7&5 for a 16 team league doesn't sound as good. That aside, scheduling doesn't have so much to do with money. Why is 16 the magic number?
If the ACC continues to drive the bus for expansion, it sounds like the BE loses two more teams whether thats UConn and ND or UConn and Rutgers. If that happens (maybe even if it doesn't), it seems like WVU to the SEC makes a lot of sense. And you have to imagine if even only UConn leaves, TCU isn't coming but would probably end up the Big 12. That leaves Cincy, Ville, SFU and maybe Rutgers kind of twisting. They are going to have to hope for some PAC expansion to free up space in the Big 12 which ends up being a better place than the BE for the last 6 years. I figure if Rutty goes to the ACC, ND bolts for the Big Whatever. Those are my thoughts - now answer my question.
