Realignment and UConn

Our biggest problem now is our state is in a free fall financially. Businesses are leaving, home values are declining and our population is declining. We have G5 written all over us for years, even decades to come.
We won't last that long.

Fairfield County is not declining.

We're next in line for the ACC and people think we're staying in the AAC...

Some fanbase we got. Someone described it as spoiled?

We're staying in the American.

We're not spoiled, we're realistic.

Fairfield County is the only county whose population has increased since 2010. Luckily, it's gains more than make up for every other counties combined losses.

.-.
You are absolutely correct but people forget how it all went down. I think it was a HUGE mistake to sell the "big east" name to the Catholic Seven defectors!

Too late now but you are 100% right. The Big East name meant something in basketball and football. The AAC is completely useless in both sports, especially in the only one that really matters.

There are certain BY truths:

Pride comes before the fall and ESPN will fall....for UConn, the law of averages does not apply.....there is always a hidden vigorish....there is a futility in counting unhatched chickens.....and one can not predict the likelihood of outcomes based upon the vagaries of now-cobwebbed events...
