on rivals there is a spot on each players page where the star ranking is given to them by rivals staff. right under that there is a fan/public star given based off votes from fans/the public. please go to each of our players pages off the commit list and give them 5*.

does this mean jack ? no. i'm not stupid. but what this does lead to is a couple things. #1 most if not all hs kids think these sites are very cool and love making them and having profiles etc. its fun to be a kid. it pains me that our commits can't look at there page and see 100 fans all giving them love with stars. this is simply a for fun thing but it leads to #2 which is fan support. looking a a commit page and see 3 ppl rank this kid 3* or what ever is weak as from this fanbase. it shows we dont care. go on to a tosu or texas or florida commit list and check out how many fans rank the kids 5* for fun. its a confidence thing for the kids and more importantly a sign of life or not in the fanbase. again, im not a idiot. i realize this means absolutely nothing in the actual scheme of things. but its a fan hood thing and a culture we need to mold here to get to that next level. so please, sign in to your old yahoo emails that you used back years ago to troll craigslist and the x-girl and go and rank our kids on rivals. if nothing else, do it for our kids.

no, the fan vote means nothing value wise. its just a good thing for the kids to see that we care about our commits as a fanbase and it shows that our fanbase is growing. it also will drive up hits a bit to these players pages. i can care less about that personally, ut some one it wise at rivals will see this and notice we have more fans now then ever. the result hopefully will be them doing more uconn stuff as they see there is a fanbase to aim for.

yes, i give all bc, cuse, pitt and ruty players 1 star. i give all ct kids 5 stars or other prospects that i like tho....

As silly as this may seem to some people that read this, I can see it making players happy and more likely to remain committed after verballing. You know that every 17 year old D1 prospect checks out his Rivals page. If you're rated a 2 star by rivals and like a 2.5 by fans then you commit to UConn and suddenly it jumps to a 4.0 you will definitely feel the love.

Just remember, just because you don't think it makes sense as an adult doesn't mean that it won't mean something to a 16 or 17 year old. And there are good odds it would have meant something to you when you were 16.

hmm wasn't aware. i usually do it for a commit the 1st time after they commit so i have never done a lot at once. if there is a limit per day type thing then get back after it 2moro

there is over 100 ppl here that post daily, we should be able to wake up 2moro with atleast each of our kids having 50 votes. get on it!!!!! then goto the bball page and do the same. it takes only a couple of minutes if your slow computer wise.

Hey Dan, I don't have a rivals account... I logged in using my yahooID but it looks like it doesn't register my rating. I clicked five stars on one guy it goes from 15 to 16 ratings, go back to the main page then back to the recruit's page and it's back to 15 ratings. Sorry...
