Never understood why he gets a pass from the media. I don't think he killed anyone, but he most certainly knew what happeded and was uncooperative with the investigation. That is a coward.

And just to add, I am talking about Ray Lewis the person, not Ray Lewis the player. Ray Lewis the player was the best Middle Linebacker of all time, in my opinion. Yes, better than Butkus, Singeltary, Ham, Lambert . . . etc. The sideline to sideline speed, the intensity, he was a beast.

I never heard "Butkus, Singeltary, Ham, Lambert . . . etc" ever throw their teammates under the bus when they were going through a bad stretch tackle-wise. I will say he is the most hyped defensive football player ever.

3 down linebacker who could make plays all over the field. There is no hype in that. 41 career sacks, and a ridiculous 31 career interceptions. 2 time defensive player of the year and Super Bowl MVP. The linebackers I mentioned are all time greats, but Lewis was better on the field then them all.

We are fortunate we have people like P and you who KNOW exactly what happened.

And I thought it was on God who could do that.

You're right. Since no one ever really knows what happened in any crime, we just shouldn't arrest anyone unless 3 police officers actually witness a crime, and even then, you don't really know, because police officers are out to get people, especially ones who once lived in poverty but are now rich.

You know what else only God knows? What happened to the white suit Ray was wearing that night. I am sure he made a perfectly good suit disappear the same night he wore it because he didn't trust police. It wasn't because there may have been blood or DNA on it. That doesn't make any logical sense to come to that conclusion.

You still have made zero sense in this thread.

Ray Lewis is not a good role model for anyone. He shouldn't get a pass from any of the networks. But go ahead ESPN make him a "revered figure in the studio". What he deserves is to play his last game, be ignored when leaving the field, allowed to dress quitely with no media attention (guys spend your time with players who deserve respect), clean out his locker and then disappear with his posse into the oblivion of the streets.

We dont know if the guy who got killed was a scumbag himself. So if there is a shoot out and you witness someone getting killed should you be guilty of the crime. It does seem that ever since the incident Ray has made better life decisions of who to surround himself with. If this were just a random person and not Ray Lewis would people make a bigger deal about it.

How is he getting a free pass? Look, no one is arguing that he did wrong, but the man paid his debt to society and came to an agreement with the victim's family. If you have a problem with that, take it up with the prosecutor and victim's lawyer. Most seem to understand that he is (was) no angel, but he was given a second chance and made the most of it. What exactly is your issue?

I bet if he were a coach that liked to throw 45x a game there would be a groundswell of support for him to coach here.

No doubt. Because he is "big time" and "big time" is all that matters to some posters

Actor Comedian Tim Allen is a convicted cocaine trafficker and snitch. He went on to become America's favorite t.v. dad for several years. Neither Leno or Letterman ask him about that when is in an interview. Never gets mentioned when his family movies open. Don't see anyone complaining about that.
