8. UConn

Despite changing conferences and despite numerous head coaches, UConn made the top 10 in my ranking of the programs from 2000-2005 because of the obvious: its five national titles. The Huskies come in at No. 8 here because they project to continue stacking chips so long as Dan Hurley — who said recently he contemplated stepping away this offseason — is leading the program.

They are the clear best team in the Big East and their investment back into the program will continue to pay dividends whether Hurley is leading the way or not.

They do realize UConn has won championships with 3 different coaches over the last 26 NCAA Tournaments? Stupid list.

My guess was we'd be somewhere in the 6-10 range, which is fine. And we'll end up much higher in retrospect, but there's pretty valid concerns about athletic department budgets and NIL commitments that right now are all talk. I fully believe everything Dave Benedict says, and I think it'll be proven, but right now it's all hypothetical.

Also funny to read Michigan's writeup and the comment about how Dusty May is the reason and they made the hire Indiana should have the year before, then scroll up and see Indiana ranked 2 spots higher with their actual hire

These articles contradict themselves all the time. You would have thought with AI that would stop but these guys just get on a roll and no matter that what they are spewing (my word for writing) about one team, is clearly contradicting what they said about another team.

Or I guess they know that most people are just going to read the section about their favorite team because that is really all that matters to the casual fan. Either way they are click bait as someone else said.

Plus UConn should get an upward adjustment for all the crap the program had to put up with outside of it's control.
