Lost 2x as many games for 2 more quad 1 wins and lost the head to head.

Media just trying to make it sound like the top line isn’t a done deal because the eye test has been all about Florida lately.

There are many voters who have Florida ahead of UConn.

Then there are some who have Houston ahead of UConn as well.

Inexplicably, some idiot has Illinois ahead of UConn.

And then there's the clown who has many others and even Iowa St ahead of them.

Perhaps the guy with the most sound logic against UConn is the writer from Champaign-Urbana who follows the Illini. He has given the Illini the lowest rank (14th) and so naturally he gives very little credit to UConn's victories.

Wow, it takes a special kind of bias or ignorance to put not one but two teams ahead that have lost head to head matchups AND have worse records.
 
Awesome to see the recognition on the part of most voters this week, somewhat unusual. That said, there's a fair share that have Florida above us. I find that incredibly disrespectful. We beat them head-to-head. Does that not matter? Do early-season games not matter? We have only 3 losses. Even if they "look" better of late, I find that hard to trump a head-to-head on neutral court. Just anti-UConn and Big East bias at play in my opinion. If you want more of that, look at the voter who has Illinois ahead of us, or another that has Michigan St. ahead of us, again, both teams we beat. Just wild.

Especially when there’s completely reasonable data points to support either opinion.
 
I like this Victor from Billings, sticking to his guns. Keeping the Huskies at his lowest rating for the season, #7 despite winning 3 in a row in the top third of the league.

The statement is - Wins in the Big East don’t count, just OOC wins or Big East losses.
 
You need to be part of the cartel to get credit for wins. We are not part of the Cartel unfortunately

Hey the SEC is down compared to last year but it's the same contract for TV rights, ESPN, etc. Kind of makes me chuckle the ranking Florida gets for 8 game streak including 3 bottom dwellers, 2 mids, and when they played #17 Alabama it was a home game. So were the games vs the other ranked SEC teams in this stretch. Much of this is they play really well at home - like Duke does, like Michigan does, like Kansas does, Kentucky etc etc... In the tourney it's a whole different shooting match and freshmen tend to choke under lose and your out pressure.
