A better pass, we score on 2nd down. The play wasn't the problem unless you ignore that Z couldn't hit a barn that night.
I would have been fine running it 4 times, was calling for it before 1st down. Didn't have a problem with the 2nd down call but he should have run it on 3rd and if necessary, 4th. We were 2-6 and FG's were going to cut it with the D giving up huge plays. Man up and punch it in. At least you show everyone in the program how behind they are in the weight room. You coild have played the sequence on a loop the entire off-season.
Instead, the whole team has lost confidence in the QB. Not what you want, and sort of leaving the kid hung out to dry by asking him to do things he doesn't do well.
