Randy Brochu appreciation thread

Don't see a lot of posts about him, and thought i would write one. Especially with hockey, and even moreso against the outrageous homer knuckleheads that we get when NESN gets a game, he's fantastic.

Randy Brochu does a good play by play, and he is also versatile. He was also involved off and on over the years in doing the radio broadcasts of Norwich minor league baseball games. While I admit that I rarely listened to Norwich games on the radio, my wife would, and she thought Brochu was quite good.
 
I’ve always loved the way he calls UConn games. He’s on top of everything that happens and he’s not a homer.
 
I’m with you Rugger 36. Randy does a great job. He really kept us involved last year when we were locked down.
Some of the guys doing other Hockey East games sound like they’ve flatlined.

Or they scream at every home stick check, and ignore the other team completely. Drives me crazy.

Any idea who calls the NESN game? Does Tom Caron step in?
The way NESN covers UConn they will probably go without announcers and it will be black and white.
