I don't think Vandy and Iowa St were as bad as people are making them out to be on this board. WMU, yes. They were beneath UConn. but ISU and Vandy are fighting hard all season.

Agreed... Vandy should have won even without missed 21 yd FG. Iowa State thumping TT is big and yes, WMU did beat Letterman U.

We could Have been contenders

Iowa State had a good win tonight, but they are going 5-7... and lost to Baylor by 23, Missouri by 35, Texas by 21 and A&M by 16. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State might beat them by 100 combined.

They beat Northern Iowa, Iowa and UConn by a combined 8 points and Iowa lost to Minnesota today.

If we are talking about the quality of UConn's opponents... I haven't heard much about how many BCS players Buffalo has on defense lately. They did only fall to 2-7 after getting lambasted by Miami (OH) today.

It would be sort of fitting if USC beats Stanford and Boise finally gets their crack at the NC game. The year they aren't nearly as good as they have been in the past, they'll get beat by the SEC winner 37-0 and the media will have a field day.
