Now on the back end as he pursues his playing career overseas, he’s putting some of his money where his heart is, jumping on a new NIL platform, myNILpay.com, to help student-athletes at both Howard and UConn.

He intends, in fact, to pay all the men’s and women’s basketball players at both schools. His version of giving back.

RJ again shows why Dan Hurley wanted him to come to UConn and be a key part of his efforts to turn the program around.

He sounds like a thoughtful, grateful, committed young man who appreciated the coaching and playing experiences at both Howard and UConn.

He's an anomaly in today's world......but a great one.

Dan Hurley recruiting pattern includes "building a culture." Unselfishness and unity. Uconn family and Uconn Nation. Hard to put into words. RJ very much of part of it on the court and off. Very grateful to all the staff and players who have contributed through their leadership; former players and alumni who contributed to the "rebirth" of the program. It is very inspirational to me.
