The use of the Wildcat has not been fair to either QB or the team. It destroys timing. Should have kept McCummings in after his run. Whitmer appears not to be the answer.

You folks seem to come from the same football era mindset as Deleone and Jeff Jacobs. I am advocating McCummings as the staring QB not a Wildcat QB. Watching the ND/MIAMI game and others ......todays QB's can both run and pass. You don't need one QB to do one and another the other. McCummings , if given reps, could be a very good passer - he has a strong arm.

mccumings can't throw the ball. if he could the wildcat would not be the worst thing ever. hes made more overthrows in his career then caught passes. he has wheels but hes a ath not a qb at the bcs level. i think umass should give him a call this winter.

H can't make the passes needed to play at this level. I wish he could.

Yes, if he could pass we'd have had at least one more touchdown yesterday and the wildcat would be a real threat. I wish he could pass but if we want to throw the ball, we have to develop an offense around Whitmer.
