rowl go those bobcats

uconn up 3-1 in the 3rd. we have put 1 in each inning so far.
dettmann on the tit

and as i posted testani goes deep with fuller on 2nd. 5-2 uconn still top 3 but 2 outs. each inning we have had big hits hr's or triples.

Both Mazzilli (solo) and Testani (2 run) have gone yard... 5-1 through 3

New day same story, 4 errors already. The defense is awful right now.

2 errors for Dettman.

Not just four errors, but two men out on the bases (one picked off, one caught stealing) in just the first inning.

And, in the top of the 5th, just failed to get a runner home from 3rd with one out and a two run lead. This team is just fundamentally horrific. Frankly, it's amazing they are able to hit and pitch their way out of as many mistakes as they are.

Just stranded another runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. They are letting Quinnipiac hang around. Can't be making these same fundamental mistakes against a team that is 3 - 24. These things really need to start improving as the year moves on.

Quite bluntly, the improvements should be showing by now. The regular season is 1/2 over.
We do have a lot of frosh playing. And Martin (when playing 3rd) and Fuller are at new positions.

Offense doing their part. 6-4 threatening for more. Bases loaded 0 outs

Quin showing why their record is so abysmal. Walk and a HBP gives us 2 more runs. 2 outs bases still loaded and Verdi doubles to clear the bases. 11-4

12-5 final. Another one of those - a win's a win type of games.

QU is having a rough season... poor Coach Gooley has been stuck on 499 wins for weeks now.

Obviously want to win these games, but even with a win our RPI dropped from 76 to 84. Image what a hit it would have taken with a loss. Same type of situation on Wednesday with Brown. We just can't afford to lose a game like that.

Very strange! I mean we just swept Pittsburgh, I would think it would have shot up 5 or 7 positions.

but I agree Brown is a must win. then we got a pretty tough match-up against the Johnnies in Queens, which is must win 2-3 games, and nothing less to have a shot at being in the Regionals.

We did jump about 20 spots ( mid 90's to mid 70's) by sweeping Pitt. But after the Quin. win we did drop 8 spots. So in total we did jump about 12 spots in the RPI with sweep of Pitt and Quin victory. I 100 % agree, Brown is a must win. Also need to win at least 2 of 3 from st. john's. We need to keep winning because our strength of schedule is not great ( 120's ) .

lville nd and usf are key for rpi now. now u guys realize how important that bc game was for a win...
