While it feels like it's always a tough defensive battle, other than last year, UConn has hammered WV over the last several years. 30+ margin of victory in those games.
As controversial as this statement might be, West Virginia is a young team. Even younger than UConn.
They only have 2 juniors in the regular rotation. The rest of their rotation is made up of sophs and freshmen.
West Virginia has lost two players from last year who contributed 30 points and 13 rebounds in Ali and Repella. I'm not sure who can make that up this year.
Based on there prior games, they will struggle to get to 40 points tonight, and I'm not sure they can keep UConn under 70.
Not much more to say about this game. It's really a rebuilding type year for WV.
And thanks to Mike B for the great ticket for tonights game. Mike Carey is worth the price of admission.
