Do transfers who are sitting out a year count against the 85 scholarship limit, or is it 85 active players that you're allowed to have? Also, do redshirts count against the 85? Same questions for basketball too.

Transfers as well as red shirts, if on scholarship count against the scholarship limit.

'Quick question' has got to be the worst new phrase of the last 10 years. I only give brusque answers to quick questions.

Moving forward ...

This x 100.

Not busting stones on OP, but a couple people at my job literally preface everything with "quick question".

Reporters in press conferences preface their turn with the phrase then proceed to ask 3 or 4 dragged out questions and sub questions. I'd like to see the sergeant-at-arms apply a 10,000 volt cattle prod to their b@lls for such offenses.

I like it when people preface something with "I don't mean to..." Then proceed to do just that.

"Do you mind if I pick your brains for a couple of minutes?"

Like you're given a choice.

. . . . , right?

You people focus on the wrong things.

No, I mean you people focus on the wrong things. Human interaction is still kind of important. What follows the interjectory phrase is the important bit.

My dad says......
"Question........." or
"Question for you......."

These two phrases drive me nuts.

On a side note, do the people that hate these innocuous phrases also get pissed when people greet you by saying "What's up?" or "How's your day going?" even though they don't care at all?
