Question re Stanford's Recruiting 2015

I know Stanford is still recruiting Kyra Lambert (Hoopgurls # 4), but so far no one has verballed from that class. Does anyone know if they have any other targets?

There is at least one Stanford fan who frequents our board - maybe s/he could provide more detailed information. Aside from who has verbaled, I couldn't begin to tell you who else they are after.

Katie McWilliams (Oregon), Dani Williams (New Mexico). Losing KLS hurt, not just because of the obvious connection to her sisters, but because she was a great student. I believe she put in an app and got accepted (or thats what I was told, especially since she did take an official visit there before coming over). Recruiting at Stanford has definitely "fallen" off it seems. I don't think they will have a single Top 10 recruit (though McCall was rated in the 10-15 range).

However, Tara is a good coach, and there isn't a big difference from the top 8-15 or so teams, so I think they will remain in the Top 15. Plus, they do tend to recruit a under the radar player who plays well like Kokenis who was only rated in the Top 100 by 1 service and most recently Lili Thompson, who wasn't even rated/seen, and played like one of the Top 10 players in her class by the end of the year.

Thanks, was just wondering. This year's class is fine, but if you bagel 2015 it's hard to make up in other years, especially given their academic standards.

Rumor is that they are leading for Kyra Lambert.

I hear 2016 class may be better as they already have Wilson, and Cox, Chou, Boley, Young, etc are suppose to be straight "A" students. Obviously that doesn't mean they are interested in Stanford, but there are more elite/very good players that could meet admission that year.
