Question for UConn Students regarding student ticket

Alright tomorrow me and 3 other friends plan on going to the game. 1 of my friends is not a Uconn student currently (just graduated) but he still has his ID. When buying the student ticket, do they scan the ID or do they just look at it?

He'll be fine as log as he still has an id. They only look at it thru the glass, and the XL people of course have no idea what the current id schemes are. Let's get this done!
