with 18 secs. left, or did the officials stop play because of some issue with the clock? if uconn did call a timeout, why?

actually, the play-by-play says that it was a uconn team timeout, and a recap says the same thing. shot clock did not have to reset , since only 18 secs left. so, why a timeout at that point? rebeccca lobo could not believe the stoppage in play, for whatever the reason .
thanks.Kelly missed a layup with 25 secs on the game clock and 17 seconds on the shot clock. The shot hit the rim and she grabbed the rebound but the shot clock did not reset so play was stopped. The refs then took a few minutes to discuss and look at the monitor and then ruled that the shot clock should have been reset and UConn was given possession on the sideline. UConn then took a timeout.
