Question about Team Leader, this year and prior

Has there ever been a named Captain or Team Leader(s) since Hurley arrived? Perhaps CV? It seemed noticeable that no Leader emerged yesterday to rile teammates up or even encourage total effort. For example there are some players (i.e. leaders) who would tell Sanogo to pass out of double teams, or tell others to stop taking unmakeable shots, etc.. I'm not talking the 'lead by example' type.

My memory ain't what is once was, so he may have appointed leaders. Also makes me wonder who leads our team next year.

yeah we dont have an obvious leader on the roster next year. we have 3 seniors who wont play, and two seemingly soft spoken juniors.
