I did not see the entire game, but I did see some highlights on ESPN..... I looked like Brittany Griner swing at Sara Hammond on Louisville at one point. Did this actually happen? Was Griner given a F1 foul? Why is it Griner is never ejected from a game for being overly physical? How will this affect her in the WNBA? I mean when the game is not going her way she pushes, shoves, grabs people by the arm and yanks them to the ground and swings at them. If I was a WNBA team I would be looking at EDD over Griner.

She did not receive a flagrant foul... just a foul. One of Louisville's players also took a swing at BG but missed. If you watch the replay, BG did the same thing to the Cardinal that she did to Stef Dolson.... she grabbed her arm when she went to run the other way. This girl just turned and took a swinging slap at BG but missed. No foul called on the play. BG was definitely getting pushed around but she did her fair share of pushing and slapping.

I think she will do well in the WNBA but they won't tolerate her cheap shots like they have to in the NCAA. She got Stef twice at UCONN this year and that won't fly in the WNBA.

It cuts both ways - she gets abused and she dishes some out herself. I think it will be less of an issue in the WNBA as opposing teams will not be so overmatched and will be playing more straight up defense on her.

I think Griner gets frustrated when things are not going her way and loses her cool especially when opposing centers get the best of her. She still has not learned to control herself, see the UL game and also her pull down of Dolson twice, without a call. I think the refs have made her that way by protecting her with non calls.

Yeah, she has so much to learn and some of the street-wise WNBA players will school her real fast. I would take EDD over BG, but there are probably only two of us. I think she is both smarter and more naturally talented. But time will tell, and it's going to be fun to see what happens.

I've noticed that besides what happened at UConn and Louisville this year and the punch freshman year, her sophomore and junior seasons I never saw her react like that, and I watched the entire tournament her sophomore year, and most of her games last year. I know she gets so much bad press from everyone and she doesn't deserve it, but that's no excuse to fly off the handle. I've always been a fan of hers, but I don't like how she handles frustration.

She wasn't called for a F1 because it clearly wasn't.

I don't see a pattern of frustrated actions any different than other players -- Ann Strother, for instance, who nailed a Duke player... Elbows, faces and height are part of the reality.

Nah, there's at least 3 of us.

Yes, but battling for position is one thing. When you throw a punch or push someone down, that's out of line.

Amazing that Griner was able to survive last game, especially after Schimmel applied the Vulcan Death Grip.
