O.K., I'll be the old person asking the tech question. Bought the tickets through UConn. On the MLB App, where the tickets were "delivered," it said the barcode was unavailable and will be available at a later time. Does anyone have the actual tickets with barcodes yet so they can be downloaded into the "wallet?" Does anyone know when the full ticket with barcode will be available?

No barcode yet. I always use the app to enter the stadium, but if I remember correctly, the barcode shows up a day or so before the game.
Have seen this before. Most event tickets have the barcode visible when purchased. Not sure why events delay showing the barcode.

From last year (see last line on magical barcode)
If they aren’t there 48 hours before the game - then panic (see down bottom below). Ticketmaster et al does the same thing at times - it’s a fraud prevention tactic.

Same situation as last year. Not to worry. Designed to prevent reselling by anyone except the authorized resellers.

Again, I’m old, but for the life of me i don’t understand why anyone would make you wait until it’s so close to the event that if there is a problem you won’t have time to fix it before getting you the tickets. But then I remember it’s the gd Redsox.
The problem with IT security or internal audit, is that sometimes they get so focus on fixing one potential problem, they lose track of the big picture and side effects of their “fix”. I think this is lousy customer service and with weekend staffing, gives you little ability/time to fix any bar code issue.

The cost /benefits of preventing various fraud scenarios need to be weigh against a customer investing in tickets, transportation and often hotel without for sure knowing he has a workable ticket. Is this worth the stress/investment risk for many to go to the UConn vs Army game?

In my mind lots of bad choices have been made by our former head coach to players receiving poor advice about playing. Absent a career ending injury any player on our team thinking sitting will improve his NFL evaluation is listening to the wrong people. In particular, our former head coach and QB all set bad leadership examples. But, I can’t blame a player when their coach does it. The UConn OL guys considering sitting out is bizarre.

Becoming more and more common. Have had broadway shows and symphony hall in Boston both use QR that shows up > 24 hrs before the show.

Discouraging people going to the bowl game. You continually come to the football board just to incite discontent.

This is a complete over-reaction. I've been to a half-dozen major league ballparks, several NHL teams and other locations that use this method. It has worked every time. More important than my limited sample size, those teams combine to sell more than 10 million tickets per year. If it created customer service problems they'd make changes (in other words, they've already done the weighing you described). I'm also sure the Red Sox will have customer service staff on hand at Will Call and other locations that can address the situtation in the unlikely event there's a problem. It's not in their interests to keep paying customers out of the stadium.

In my old age I have grown more diplomatic, but I agree. We've been to both a Met's game and a Dodgers game in the past year. I had a problem getting our parking pass into my wallet at Citi Field. The parking attendant, under pressure of an impending traffic jam, took my phone and fixed the problem in ten seconds. With a smile and a "have a great time".

Well, one could argue that now is the winter of our discontent. At least I'm pretty sure I've heard someone say that.

Any way to get tickets right at the box office not for me but asking for a friend. Is the ball park app the only option?

Drove up this afternoon. Staying at the Bostonian across from Fanuel Hall...
Today is my wife’s birthday. There is no heading up today (and it’s too late now anyway). I get up in the morning, check weather and road conditions and have to figure it if I will make it. Thirty degree weather I can deal with. It will all be about driving conditions

You should be fine. It's supposed to end by midnight. Game doesn't start until 2 anyhow.

can you hop the train to bridgeport and catch the amtrak?

I am not a lawyer, but Chief disparaging coaches et al on a bowl ticket thread. Way off topic. I could convict.
I think Mara disparaged himself the way he left. At least Edsel finished the bowl game before he left. Mora set a very poor example for his players. Give Bell and Ball credit for trying to re-establish themselves after their initial reaction to the Mora mess.

Yes, I have mine. Now if the weather will just accommodate a drive from Fairfield to Fenway ….
Anything's possible when you check GPS and leave early. Go Huskies!!! Get a win and a chance to sneak into the final Top 25. Glad New Mexico lost today.
