Is this accurate?

The Huskies have trailed for only 26 minutes 11 seconds this season.

Not sure of the exact number, but that sounds close. It was discussed in a fairly recent broadcast, maybe the Baylor game. And I think it's 0 minutes in second halves.

Seems like a long time. Most games they have only trailed as long as it takes for them to score their first basket and maybe a few possessions thereafter. And when they have scored first they often haven't trailed in the game at all. I thought a week or two ago I saw the number of 4 minutes.

That's an average of 1:23 per game. I'm not even sure UConn has trailed 2-0 or 3-2 that many times. It's happened, but I'd question how frequently.

DavidinNaples just posted his calculation of the percentage of time on the pre Rutgers thread, with 96.4% of the time leading or tied. That leaves 3.6% behind, which is just under 26 minutes, so sounds right.

For those of you thinking is seems like too long, UCF, despite the final score, had a four point lead at one time. We didn't take the lead for good until 6 minutes into first half, although it was tied or we led for part of that time. But UCF contributed about 4 minutes of the total.

The 4 point lead by UCF was the highest margin at that time, but there had been leads of 3 points by other teams.

We also trailed for a few minutes each v BU, Md', PSU and very briefly v OSU and Baylor. With UCF I think these account for about 16 minutes.

Dang but I wish I had a better memory! Am I right in thinking that in our last undefeated season, the minutes we trailed was quite a bit less? Seems that was a major talking point of the television talking heads.

That was my recollection. I don't recall the exact number, but I think that season may have ended with fewer minutes than we have so far.

But many fans of other teams would find it incredible if we were to dwell on worrying about being behind in the first few minutes.

More than half of the amount comes from four games, two of which you maybe could guess (MD and PSU) and two of which you wouldn't (UCF and Houston). As follows: MD (4:37), PSU (3:14), UCF (3:15), and Houston (4:29). That's 15:35 total I think. I believe most of the rest was dribs and drabs that weren't usually much more than a minute.
