We don't have any because Randy and Paul don't emphasize the passing game. Heck, they hardly utilize it and wouldn't at all if it was possible. So what high school playmakers would want to come here? And, they also can't recruit the positions even if there was a chance to grab some blue-chippers.

I don't agree. There are moves that you can make with Whitmer. Simple over the middle button hooks, hook and go, on that dumb motion play to the right side, have the guy hitch and go, hitch and stop. Ryan over the middle can stop in open space, he doesn't have to clear through every time. Certainly we are not talented at QB in comparison to the better programs. But there are things you can do to make it easier, and we don't do them. People here call for screens, draws, out to the flat passes. Whitmer is no where near as bad as this playcalling makes him look. Why do we look ok in first halves, but not in second? Lack of adjustments.

Keep dreaming about blue choppers. We made louisville a defense look much better than they are but I liked watching mccombs tear it up. They pressured our qb. Line didn't protect again. Whitmer Philips and Davis are as goo as we r going to get. Need protection and some screens.

I like Whitmer but don't think he's shown himself to be that "next level" type of QB to date. But what are the odds of JM coming out and winning the next game to get us into a bowl or even winning the next 2? Naw, can't happen.

That said, hope Whitmer is OK and ready to go soon.

Louisville had a very good pass defense. Maybe second in the league. They are a pretty good team. Difficult to believe the quietness of Griffin. But hey he was better than Bridgewater because we won. We knocked off a ranked opponent at their place. Maybe we turned the corner.
