I guess Providence was looking ahead to Villanova?
Depaul is a good team that can match many teams physically. It is a matter if they can make shots to stay in games. They are doing that today and playing very well. They did beat Xavier away too.I guess Providence was looking ahead to Villanova?
Not everybody's expectations are on the same lineWe were in a mid-major conference 5 minutes ago and some act like we should be embarrassed losing to top 25 Big East teams on the road. We didn't immediately pick up where we left off as the lifetakers and heartbreakers we used to be in this conference. Sure, that would have been nice but man this fanbase needs to cowboy up a bit.
Ya, Depaul was trying not to lose with way too much time left.Depaul had to run their offense. They have been burning way too much shot clock against a team as good defensively as PC. You get down to 10 seconds left against PC, it will feel like there are 6 defenders.
Nova is gonna beat them by 30Depaul is falling apart. Providence is lucky for sure. I hope Villanova spanks them on Tuesday.
In my opinion if you think we should beat other top 25 teams in this conference on the road even when we play mediocre then you have an over inflated opnion about how good we really are this year. We have one viable guard and lack consistent shooting. We are very competitive for sure but we are gonna lose our share too. We have to play pretty well, not mediocre to beat the Xaviers of the world on the road. That's not a mortal sin. The conference is damn competitive with a lot of parity. Not everybody's expectations are on the same line
Not pointing at you- some people on the BY need to realize this and if you don't share like views - so be it
BTW - the mid-major conference was not a good place for UConn but UConn never dominated or even came close.
Losing to "top 25" teams (if you can believe rankings) that UConn should beat when playing mediocre is never an acceptable result - that's my take
Thanks
Engaged fans that go crazy for their team is a good thing. These PC fans at the Dunk act like they’re UNC playing Duke. Should we tell them they’re actually just playing DePaul?
